My Dad graduated from Clarke in 1952 and went on to complete his degree at MC and New Orleans my mom and kids along. On Friday My Mom passed away from complications of the stroke. I want to thank all of you for your prayers. I want to give you
the schedule of services. At 6pm on Monday Dec. 15 there will be a viewing at Ott Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. On Tuesday a Viewing and service
will be at 12 noon at Ott Lee.
On Wednesday 9:30 am there will be a viewing and service at Gray funeral home in Union Springs, AL 36089 with grave side
service immedately following. All are welcome to come and celebrate the Life of my Mother. Thanks for your Prayers RB

My sister, Shirley, called to let me know about this web site. It has been interesting to read about those who I knew at Clarke. Indeed those were fun years. I had to get out my annual to remember the faces! After finishing my master’s degree at USM in Speech/Language Pathology, I moved to Pensacola, FL. I enjoyed many good years there and eventually met my husband, Chris, who won my heart and moved me away from my life on the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. We married in 1996 and moved immediately to the Boston, MA area. He is an Aerospace Engineer with Draper Laboratory in Cambridge. We now have two girls, Olivia (2)and Anna (8mon.). My career path has been altered and I now spend my energy making a home for our wonderful family. We have adjusted to life as New Englanders, however, in about February of every year we long for life on the beach. I wish you all well and hope that the reunion is a success.

Greetings from Kentucky:
Rob and I are in our 9th year here in Greenville. Rob is still Youth Minister with First Baptist Church and I am teaching at the Muhlenberg County Job Corps.
Clark, now 21, is a Junior at Murray State University majoring in Math education with a minor in Coaching.
Robin (18) is a Senior this year at Muhlenberg South High School. She just finished her soccer season. She was named to the all district and all regional teams. She will be playing tennis in the spring. She plans on attending Western Kentucky University in the fall of 2006.
Rob is still teaching part-time for Madionsville Community College. Life is busy and exciting with church, jobs and two kids. We would love to hear from our Clarke friends, so drop us an email or call anytime.

What a treat!!!!!Thanks for having this site up and running. Here's the bio in a nutshell....Moved on to Union University, Jackson, TN and graduated 1978. Married Denise Moore from Parsons, Tennessee in June 1978. Served as US2ers in Anchorage, Alaska during 1980-1982. Moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1983. Denise and I both earned degrees from Southern. Did the church thing and the community ministry thing.
I work for American Airlines as a Customer Service Manager in El Paso, TX. We have been here since July, 1999. I am responsible for the "under the wing" operations; baggage, fueling, cargo, aircraft parts, and the auto shop. Denise stays busy being Mommy to our almost 6 year old Will.
I was saddened to learn that Clarke no longer physically exists, even though it will live forever in our memories. What a great place to go to school and have fun with a great group of people. Talk about Occupational Education 101. We certainly gave it our best shot.

Hello Clarke Friends! Just recently found out about this site and that there even way a Clarke Alum Association. This is great! Gwen (Elliott) and I were married shortly after graduation and we have two girls Amy 26 and Amber 23.
Amy and her husband James have 2 daughters, Abby (3) and Avery (19 months). Being a grand-parent is just the greatest. Amber and Britt are expecting our first grandson in March!
I am serving as the Minister of Music and Education at Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe, AR after serving in the pastorate for 18 years. Our
Lord Jesus has been so good to us. It is great to hear the latest news from so many of our friends from Clarke days. Would love to hear from some of you.

I am so delighted to read these messages and have an opportunity to get in tough with old friends. Reading these entries brought back a lot of wonderful memories. I was at Clarke Jan 75 to May 76. We were so lucky to have grown up in such a wonderful atmosphere. Whenever I think of Clarke I remember how safe and happy I felt there. I finished my BSN in nursing at USM in 1979. I work as a labor and delivery nurse at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Connie Miller D'Souza notified me about the web site the day before the reunion.
I almost cried as I sat there reading all the entries. I wasn't able to attend the reunion this year but I hope to next year.
Clarke College is a very special place to me and I look forward to visiting with old and new friends, for we all share a special bond. I live in Biloxi, so if you're on the coast you can give me a call. 228-435-0116 God Bless.
