What a thrill to read the wonderful messages from former Clarke attendees. I attended Clarke '59-'61. I probably would have attended until it closed, but they had rules about staying too long. I live in Lawrenceville, Ga. (25 miles NE of Atlanta). I retired on Sept. 1, 2000 after 25 years teaching elementary and middle school.
I married a Ga. boy with 3 teenage children and we have a 24 year old daughter. We lead a very happy and full-filled life in our town.
We are very active in the Central Baptist Church in Lawrenceville. Since we are both retired, we are doing some traveling. We are planning a driving trip to Alaska sometimes between May and September of this year. Would love to hear from some '58-'61 alumni. We also have a reunion every 2 years in
Louisville, Miss. The next will be Oct. 2002. Hope to hear from some of you.

I attended Clarke from 1959-61. My wife Joy, who is a Spanish teacher in the local school system, and I have two wonderful sons, one daughter-in-law and a beautiful granddaughter. I am a CPA and currently serve as CFO of a company in Decatur, AL. Also, since leaving Clarke in 1961, the Lord has blessed me with the privilege to serve as a bi-vocational Minister of Music of some wonderful churches in the North Alabama area. What a great joy to read in the Baptist Record of this website. I was a student at Clarke College from 1960-1962, graduating in May, 1962. My hometown is Silver Creek, Mississippi which is in Lawrence County, near Monticello and Prentiss. After finishing Mississippi College and Southern Seminary, I have ministered in Ohio, Montana, Colorado, Kentucky, and now in Hammond, Indiana as a bivocational minister of the Briar East Baptist Church. I'm married to Brenda, a native of beautiful Cumberland Gap, Tennessee. We have two sons, both single. Chris, who is 31 lives in Louisville, Kentucky and Brian, age 28 lives in Somerset, Kentucky. I would love to hear from the class of 1961 or 1962. I see none listed in the messages.

Hi, I would like very much to hear from anyone who attended Clarke when I did. It would be great fun to know where you all are and what you are doing now. I can't believe that 40 years have past. There are so many wonderful memories of our days at Clarke; so many valuable lessons learned, so many interests begun there. I have thought of friends from Clarke often, and would love to visit with any of you. There truly was a sweet spirit there, and, God willing, it passed on to so many places. We live on the Gulf Coast, on a farm, raise quarter horses, have three adult sons, three precious grandchildren that are the joy of our lives. Hope to hear from you, God bless, Pat

Must be getting old. I now have time to reflect on so many fond memories of Clarke. Dear frail Dr. Carter and so many friends I've lost track of but not forgotten. I've been married for 39 years and have two sons and one daughter. They have scattered all over the country making it difficult to see grandbabies. My daughter has fraternal twins, boy and girl, age 26 months, and my youngest son has a little boy age one.
Love to hear from anyone that was around in '63 and '64.

I had the wonderful privilege of attending the reunion Saturday, April 20, and it was a great experience! It was my first reunion but I trust not the last! I was overjoyed to see so many who loved Clarke and had great experiences that will last a life time!
I am married to Faye Hennis from Vinegar Bend, Alabama. We have one child. Amy is 19 and will graduate from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Perkinston Campus, on May 8, 2002. She plans to go to William Carey in Hattiesburg this fall. Pray that we can afford it!!!!!
I have the privilege of serving as pastor of the Big Level Baptist Church near Wiggins, Mississippi. God has been so good to me in so many ways!!!! I praise His dear Name!!!
May God bless everyone who has ever been associated wtih Clarke College. I will always be grateful to our dear Lord for allowing me the high privilege of attending there '62-'64.

I heard about the web site from Donis Harris Gomillion. Great job! Hope to see other postings from those who were at Clarke in 1962-64. I've lost contact with most as I've lived in GA since 1966 and have been able to attend only one reunion in the '70s.
