For the past year or so some of you good folks have been asking, "Just who the heck is this Hutcherson guy, and what does his family look like?" Well, for both the interested and disinterested here is the whole clan. You will see from left to right our oldest daughter Cindy, Roberto, Miss Mary, grandson Bryan Karns, (world's greatest) son-in-law Ed Karns, and youngest daughter Suzanne. For those of you whom we have not seen in some years, you will have to admit that Bob did right well in choosing Miss Mary as a mate and the Lord Himself provided the lovely daughters, son-in-law and Bryan, the world's most brilliant eight-year-old.

WOW! For so many years I have wondered about the people of Clarke. My wife Peggy and I came back through Newton several years ago and got the privilege of seeing Dr. Melton and Mr. C. Memories are as vivid as yesterday about my two wonderful years there.
Peggy and I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Our newest is 8 weeks old.
After leaving Clarke I attended UAB and Sanford University. I also found that God was calling me to be in business and fulfill my Christian obligation there. I have spent the last 35 years in the finance field. About 5 years ago I got real brave and changed fields completely. I am the Business Manager for a Chevrolet dealership. Peggy is administrator of our church (First Methodist Cullman, she converted me). I would love to hear from former classmates. I have thought about you often.

Clara (Legg) Walker- Clara is now serving on staff @ First Baptist Church, Florence MS-as Preschool Administrator-(taught Preschool-and was on staff @ 2 areas churches in the Jackson area-Clara is also a Special State Worker-and has written for Lifeway (Preschool)) Kenneth Walker- taught 29 years-Jackson, retired--now works for SAKS INC- (also on staff @ First Baptist Church Florence as Organist- we have 3 daughters-and 3 grandchildren-

Last evening I was meeting with the Kemper Baptist Association. Mary Margaret Sullivan Smith ('65) came to the meeting and shared she was so glad to see me. She had just received a call from Suzette Severs Rogers ('65). Suzette shared with her that her husband Ross had just went to be with the Lord. I shared with M about our website and got the information from her to share with you. Ross had pancreatic cancer and had been sick a while. What a joy it is to have a web site such as this that we can all still have the closeness that the campus offered to us for many years. I was so excited after having come to Clarke to visit to become a student there and graduate in 1966. Then after attending William Carey and New Orleans Seminary, I was employed as Secretary/Youth Director at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
After serving there for two years I married Bill Williams whom I met while attending Clarke) from Hickory. We have two children and two grandchildren.
God has blessed us with two children that also serve Him. Our youngest (daughter) is presently serving as a Journeyman in East Asia. A joy of my life was to go back to Clarke and serve on the administrative staff. It was so rewarding that the Lord gave me the opportunity to financially assist many students in being able to attend through means of the Financial Aid Office.
My life was truly blessed to see Him work in the lives of many He had called. It was a sad day to have this campus close it doors to a service that had been so vital for so many years. I have learned though that whatever circumstance comes to us we must allow Him to have it and then great things can be accomplished through Him. It is wonderful to have this site where the Clarke family can still stay in touch.
It is great to see so many that have posted a message and shared about their lives since Clarke. It makes me feel so warm inside to see how the Lord is using each of you to carry out the mission He gave you and you have responded. Please help us get the word out about this site. I would like to say to Ginny that I am so thankful God equipped her to be able to make such a wonderful contribution to build this web page for the Clarke Family. Thank you Ginny.
