Please lift up the family of Bro. Robbie Howard--he went to be with the Lord today. Bro. Robbie was a student at Clarke years ago. 44 years ago on this day, his son Eddie died. Great reunion in heaven! He is survived by his two daughters, Lynne and Cathy, and their families. Funeral--Thursday, 11:00 @ Friendship Baptist Church in Grand Bay, Al.
I'm asking everyone to join in intercessory prayer for a very serious eye problem. I am recovering from two detached retina surgeries. My left eye retina detached again 5 weeks after the first surgery. I am now almost 4 weeks beyond the second surgery. I believe the retina is healing and re-attaching better this time. My surgeon is checking it every two weeks. I have one more procedure to go in 2-3 months when the doctor feels the retina is sufficiently healed. Doctor will pump out the oil that is in my eye, implant a lense and put a gas bubble in the eye.
These days are a very traumatic time for me, so I would appreciate anyone who will, to call my name and need out to the Lord, when you find yourself in prayer.
Thank you all so very much,

I have had to retire (Effective Nov. 2010) due to a totally occluded R artery. It already had 4 stents in it...but they now have completely closed. The Lord has built some collateral vessels from the Left Artery that are providing enough blood/oxygen to allow the bottom right side of my heart to squeeze/pump adequately. Dr. said my L artery is the largest he's seen....as it is compensating for the R one and doing its work too. It also has 4 stents in it. Arrrrggh!!!! Would appreciate your prayers for His complete healing of this ailment. Somehow, I don't want to think or believe that He's finished with me yet!!!
Anyway, should you know of any churches within a 75 mi. radius of Vicksburg that might need a supply in music/preaching/piano accompaniment--give us a shout at 251-554-5265 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. Blessings to you all for His glory!!!

In His JOY:
We earnestly request your prayers for Arlis as he contemplates his battle with prostate cancer which was diagnosed the past Monday, January 26. This morning (Wednesday) he underwent a bone scan to determine if the cancer has spread beyond the prostate.
Please pray with us that it has not spread and that the radiation treatments which will take place in Mid-February will be highly effective in eliminating the cancer.
Regardless of the outcome of our experience, we haved placed ourselves in God's hands and know that He will sustain us in all of this. We have claimed Romans 8:28 as God's promise to us. God is Good!
We are so thankful for our many Christian friends whom God has used and will use in the months ahead to give us emotional and spiritual support.
We love you in Jesus,
